NDIS: Support through Psychological Services
NDIS:
-
Psychological support under the NDIS is designed to enhance the emotional, cognitive, and behavioural well-being of participants with disabilities, particularly those with neurodivergent profiles or complex psychosocial needs. These supports aim to improve daily functioning, increase independence, and enhance overall quality of life.
Key Areas of Psychological Support:
Emotional Regulation & Mental Health – Addressing anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioural challenges through evidence-based interventions.
Skill Development & Capacity Building – Enhancing social, communication, and daily living skills to foster independence.
Behaviour Support – Developing positive behaviour strategies to reduce distress and increase engagement in meaningful activities.
Parent & Caregiver Training – Equipping families and support networks with strategies to assist the participant’s progress.
Functional & Diagnostic Assessments – Assessing cognitive, adaptive, and psychosocial functioning to inform support needs and NDIS planning.

Elayna is an experienced psychologist who has been working in the NDIS sector since its rollout in 2018. She specialises in supporting neurodivergent individuals and those with complex psychosocial needs, providing evidence-based interventions tailored to each person’s unique strengths and challenges. Elayna takes a holistic approach, recognising the importance of family support and offering parent training to equip caregivers with practical strategies to enhance their child’s development and well-being. Her work focuses on building capacity, improving emotional regulation, and fostering independence to support meaningful participation in daily life and the community.
We are currently welcoming Expressions of Interest (EOI) for Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner services. Elayna’s approach focuses on understanding the function of behaviours, supporting regulation, and promoting quality of life through positive, person-centred strategies.
