Our Approach

At Elysian, Elayna is dedicated to providing evidence-based, compassionate, and neuro-affirming care for children, adolescents, and young adults. With over a decade of experience across the disability and child protection sectors, her approach integrates the latest research in psychological science with a deep respect for each individual’s lived experience and identity.

Elayna believes that effective therapy is collaborative and person-centred. Every session is tailored to the individual’s strengths, goals, and communication style, creating a safe, supportive space where clients and families feel heard and empowered.

Her work draws on a range of therapeutic approaches, including Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). These approaches are adapted to suit neurodivergent ways of thinking and learning, with a focus on building emotional regulation, self-understanding, and practical coping strategies.

Above all, Elayna values authenticity, curiosity, and connection. She walks alongside clients and their support networks to help them navigate challenges, celebrate strengths, and move toward meaningful, sustainable growth.
